Sandy Jeffs has been an active member since 1988. She is a consumer who has lived with schizophrenia for forty years. Sandy is a community educator who speaks to schools, universities and community groups about what it’s like to live with a mental illness. She published a memoir Flying with Paper Wings: reflections on living with madness, in 2009. She is also a published poet who has written extensively on the themes of madness and domestic violence, as well as the humorous antics of women who play midweek ladies’ tennis.
