Why Our Website Can Help You
There is considerable information, in multiple locations, available online. The Women’s Mental Health Network Victoria is keen to help consumers and carers to navigate this complex mental health information.
Some of the information resources suggested by women we consulted included:
- general information on mental health/illness that is not necessarily specific to women
- issues that are specific to women e.g. mental illness and hormonal changes, legal services.
Our research has shown that women consumers and carers who live in rural and regional Victoria need better access to information, especially when it comes to local services.
This website is a way forward for signposting information that is targeted at women living in rural and regional areas of Victoria; including support groups and service providers – while allowing access to all women in Victoria.
